Tas VPN1. What this policy is
This page explains how TASVPN treats heavy use of the service, what the service measures about your connections, and what it deliberately does not measure. It adds no restrictions of its own: it describes the limits already set out in the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy, which are the binding documents.

2. There is no bandwidth cap on consumer plans
Consumer plans do not impose a hard bandwidth cap. TASVPN does not meter your traffic against an allowance, does not slow your connection once you pass a threshold, and does not charge overage fees. No plan currently sold carries a bandwidth limit.
An account near the top of TASVPN’s own usage figures is using what it was sold. Being a heavy user is not a breach of any TASVPN policy and does not, by itself, lead to any action on your account.
What is not permitted is conduct intended to damage, overload, degrade or disrupt the TASVPN network or a third party — denial-of-service traffic, for example. That is an abuse question, handled under the Acceptable Use Policy, and it is about the nature of the traffic rather than its volume.
3. P2P and file sharing
Peer-to-peer and BitTorrent traffic are permitted on all plans, in every location, and are not treated as heavy use requiring justification. You remain responsible for the lawfulness of what you transfer; TASVPN does not authorize copyright infringement.
4. The limits that do exist
The real limits on a plan are the number of devices you may register and how many of them may be connected at the same time.

Trial connections also end automatically after 60 minutes; you may reconnect. Paid plans have no session time limit. Registering a device does not consume bandwidth, and you may remove a device you no longer use.
5. What TASVPN measures
For each connection, TASVPN records the amount of data transferred in each direction, when the connection started and ended, which location it used, and which of your devices it belonged to. These figures are operational: they are what capacity planning, billing-period usage figures and your own dashboard are built from.
- Total bytes sent and received per connection
- Connection and disconnection times
- The VPN location and the device used
6. What TASVPN does not measure
TASVPN does not record the sites or services you connect to through the VPN, your DNS queries, or the contents of your traffic. No usage figure on this page, in your dashboard or in TASVPN’s internal tooling is derived from where you went or what you did — only from how much data moved and when.
This is a design constraint rather than a preference: the records do not exist, so they cannot be produced, searched or disclosed. The Privacy Policy and the Law Enforcement Guidelines set this out in full.
7. How the figures are used
Usage figures are used to plan capacity, to size and place the VPN fleet, and to show you your own usage for the current billing period. TASVPN staff may review aggregate usage for those purposes.
Nothing on the usage side of the service throttles, charges, suspends or notifies an account automatically. If TASVPN ever needs to contact you about the effect your usage has on the network, that is a conversation, and this policy will be updated before any automatic measure is introduced.
8. Your own figures
Signed-in customers can see their own usage for the current billing period, and the devices registered to their account, from the TASVPN dashboard. You can request a copy of the personal data TASVPN holds about you, or ask for your account to be deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to this policy
If TASVPN introduces a bandwidth cap, throttling, or any automatic action based on volume of use, this page and the Terms of Service will be updated before it takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised documents.
